A Done Deal.
Woohoo! I got the "congratulations" letter over the weekend - couriered by Expresspost no less - from the University. I'm a little excited but also a lot nervous! I'm not as worried about the course content as I am about the proceedures. You know, how things are supposed to be written out, in what format, blah blah blah. I can have all the right information but it doesn't matter if it's not done in the right way.
So I've been getting advice from a few people and apparently there's books written on this and even courses out there. You see why I'm intimidated? If they actually have to write a book about it or hold a course... sheesh! The school has a 4 hour orientation coming up and I think I'd better be there.
Otherwise I'm almost ready for the holidays. Just a few last minute gifts to buy. DD helped out a lot this year by doing the house decorating. It looks better than it ever did with me doing it.
This is the tree she and her boyfriend decorated, complete with baby's breath and some other vegetation she spray painted gold. Or copper. Whatever. And since she'd not only done her shopping but actually got everything wrapped we've got presents under there. I've decided she's never allowed to move out; she makes me look good! lol
On the other hand this is how I prefer to decorate. Step one: grab fiber optic tree that requires no decorating from crawlspace. Step two: plunk said tree on table. Step three: mix a cocktail, sit back and admire tree.
So what else is going on? Well I've finally got my appointment this afternoon with the rheumotologist about my rheumotoid arthritis. I've been on a waiting list for about 9 months now so it's good to get in. Hopefully I'll get on some decent meds to keep me mobile. Knitting is so much easier when your fingers bend!

Good luck with the doctor. It seems recently a lot of people I know are having major problems with arthritis. I will keep you in my prayers.
Your trees are beautiful (even the fiber optic one). I have no tree up this year so you've beat me by a long shot. However, I FINALLY finished my shopping after work tonight. At least I've managed to do that much.
I hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas!
Your daughter is quite the girl. She did a super job.
Interesting that you mentioned the rheumotoid arthritis. I have to get tested for this, too. I didn't realize that it was more to it than just major soreness, it makes you tired and wow, there's lots too it. I can't knit now at all. Crochet is much less painful. Hope your appt went well. Please keep me posted.
I hope the dr. went well - you'll have to tell me if he was the HOT Dr. Thomas/Thompson??
I was on the waiting list for him and one here in Windsor and got into the one in Windsor first (go figure). Maybe I should have held out! lol
