Has it really been over three weeks since I've posted? Holy Hannah.
So what have I been up to? Well I've survived another holiday season. Even managed to get most of the decorations down yesterday! lol I've gotten back into the workout routine. I've planned two more trips and booked one. And I had my first University class last night. Lots to talk about!
I started right into it January 2. I was going to start January 1 but then I hooked up with my sister-in-law and the next thing you know the Bloody Ceasars were flowing and that shot THAT plan right out the window. Just as a point of information; Bloody Ceasars are absolutely delicious with a dill pickle instead of celery as a garnish.
So I've been following a 1300 calorie a day diet with a 40/40/20 split (protein/carbs/fats). Then weight training MWF and cardio TThS with Sunday to recouperate. And have a glass of wine. 'Cause six days is long enough in any week to behave! lol
This is all good because I've got to build some strength for snowmobiling, one of the newly scheduled trips. We're going to do the RAP tour, with is the ride around Algonquin Park. This is a 900km trip backpacking on the snowmobiles. It's usually done in 3 or 4 days depending on how hard you want to push it. We're also supposed to be doing the Kelly Shire Run, a breast-cancer fundraising ride of all women (DH volunteers to help the less-skilled riders).
Then we're off on a Caribbean cruise to warm up after all that snowmobiling! lol We actually booked this last spring and it's finally here. We're going with my brother and his wife (she of the Ceasars) so we'll have a blast!
And the other new trip is I'm going to England this summer with my Mom. She asked me to go with her when she came back from there last summer and I've been able to swing it. This will be my first time back in almost 30 years. I moved here to Canada when I was only three and have only been back once when I was 16, so I'll have an entirely different perspective when I go this time. It will be mainly visiting relatives and such as opposed to sightseeing but it's all good.
And lastly, SCHOOL! OMG I'm loving it! I went to the orientation last week and felt like such a geek; the librarian was talking about the library - 4 stories in one building and 3 in another - and I couldn't wait to check it out. So I did! I actually went on Saturday just to tour it. And I learned so much, not the least of which is that the parking meters on the street need to be fed on Saturdays and you'll get a $15 ticket if you don't. But class last night was great. I love the subject matter and I think I'll do ok. I'm not nearly so nervous now!
So that's what's been going on. Now that I've bored you to death maybe I'll actually have some pics next time. I really wish I'd have taken some pics of those Ceasars; yum!

2 trips! I thought that the snowmobiling trip counted as one and then you surprised me with the trip to England. You lucky lady!
Glad your feeling better about school.
(I'll have to try the dill pickle. My husband and I always order ceasars but we ask for olives instead of celery.)
Have a great day.
Glad to hear you're having an exciting beginning to 2007!
