New Babies!

My family has grown this weekend. There's not just one but two new babies in the family! First DD came home Friday night with this little fella. His name is Thumper. I've told the kids "no more pets", so she was a little sheepish as she brought him in to show me, but how could you not love that little face?! I let DD think I'm not happy; don't let on any different! lol

When she realized I wasn't going to send Thumper back from whence he came DD went out and bought some "accessories". I had a blast playing with this thing all weekend! lol

Now meet Journey. My brother and his wife went and picked up a new rottie pup on the weekend. She's 10 weeks old and will fit right in with the two other dogs and six cats! lol The alpha dog, Thunder, has warmed to her already.

Here Thunder is checking to see that she has everything she needs. Now click on the pic to see it full size. Journey's paws are already almost as big as Thunder's! That's going to be one big dog. Better them than me is all I gotta say. :o

hee ha ha ha! Soo cute! Hello little ratty! Rats are such great pets. Of course dogs are fabulous too, but at least you don't have to train this one. :)

That puppy is so cute! I'm allergic to dogs, but love to look at photos of cute puppies.

Is that a rat? One of my brothers used to have a pet rat. I, on the other hand, have hired people to have remove rats from my premises. :-)

I have hired people to remove rats. I have not hired people to "have remove" rats. That doesn't make a damn bit of sense.

The Completed Bionic Gear Bag EDIT: Link to the second bag I made almost seven years later   Well I finally finished my Bionic Gear Bag .  What can I say?  I laughed, I cried... New Look 6735 - The Dedicated Post

I have decided to put up a dedicated post for New Look 6735 .  Because I have made so many versions of it, it really doesn't require a new post every time I make one.  This will make it easy for me to track my projects with this pattern.  I have made this up now as the 3/4 sleeve tee, the cap sleeve tee, a sleeveless version and the cardigan (although heavily modified).  The fact that I have certainly got my money's worth out of this pattern makes the cheap bastard in me very happy!  So here we go (with newest versions on top): With narrower neckline Blog post Blog post Blog post Blog post Blog post Blog Post Blog post Blog post Blog post Blog post Blog post Blog post Blog post

Onward and upward...

I was complaining whining speculating about the changes in my life in a recent post , and I've decided to take some action on it. I might be right out of my mind but I have an appt Monday with a dept head at our local university. Now you have to realize that I graduated from high school in (gulp) 1979. In my early 20's I did a 4 year apprenticeship as a Tool & Die Maker and haven't been to school since other than the occasional night school class. But the kids are pretty much grown, DD is 18 and just bought her first car and is working part time while going to school full time and really doesn't need me much anymore. (I guess I'd better learn not to make run-on sentences if I want to go to uni!) DS is living with Dad at the moment. So there's really no reason for me not to. I work full time so I'm going to apply as a part time undergrad, and I'm thinking of just taking one course per semester to begin until I see how it goes. I want it to enhance
