A Full Life.

I got home yesterday from another business trip, this time back to Port Elgin for our semi annual council meeting. I can't believe how many wind turbines have gone up in the last few years up there. These things are giants; at least twice as tall as the biggest power lines, and they make a strange whirring noise when you get up close as the blades cut through the air. Then on the drive home a "herd" of wild turkeys (I think) ran across the road in front of me. Fortunately the camera was sitting there ready on the seat beside me. I've never seen anything quite like them before. Ok, I guess I don't get out much. lol As much as I love my work and feel that much is accomplished on the trips I have to do for it I have to say that it sure creates havoc at home. Hopefully I'll have a longer post soon.

It's a Canon Rebel XT with SLR (which is the look-through lens), 8 megapixels and two lenses; an 18-55mm lens for general purpose and a 75-300mm zoom for nature shots and DS' football games. Have I ever mentioned how obsessed I get with stuff? The camera came in on Friday and I've already taken almost 200 pics as I learn and play. This first one is of a little flower coming out in the front of my house. I used the 18-55mm lens at the 18mm setting. The actual flower is less than 1/2" across; click on the pic to see the full size version. I'm amazed with what this camera can do! Of course most of those pics have been of the c
