A Full Life.

I got home yesterday from another business trip, this time back to Port Elgin for our semi annual council meeting. I can't believe how many wind turbines have gone up in the last few years up there. These things are giants; at least twice as tall as the biggest power lines, and they make a strange whirring noise when you get up close as the blades cut through the air.

Then on the drive home a "herd" of wild turkeys (I think) ran across the road in front of me. Fortunately the camera was sitting there ready on the seat beside me. I've never seen anything quite like them before. Ok, I guess I don't get out much. lol

As much as I love my work and feel that much is accomplished on the trips I have to do for it I have to say that it sure creates havoc at home. I won't go into details (mainly because I know no one wants to listen to me whine!) but suffice it to say I'm sure glad to be home. Got home at lunchtime and spent the rest of the day vegging on the couch. DD had cleaned the house to within an inch of it's life, made dinner for me and cleaned up afterward. I'm thinking a little guilt kicking in over some of the above mentioned "havoc"! lol Ok, I know this has nothing to do with the "bee in the daffodil" pic but I'm having too much fun with the new camera! You have to click on this pic to get the full size to get the full effect of the bee's hairy legs.

I got lots of compliments on the Gilmore Sweater, which I was really glad I had with me when I ended up sitting under a ceiling fan blowing icy winds on me.

And poor Boston had to go to the vets today. He's developed really noisy wheezing at first just when he's sleeping and the last few days it's been all the time. Now he's got to go for xrays and an ekg tomorrow. He's got problems with his heart as well as his thyroid, but hopefully it will be something we can control with meds. sigh Poor old kitty.

Last but not least I'm trying to decide my next project. I'm thinking a summer top with this baby cotton I bought at the Spinrite Factory Outlet on my last trip to Port Elgin last month. I just have to settle on a pattern. Unless someone has a better idea for it?

Oh I had to laugh, I,m sorry, about the 'havoc' you returned home to. I came home from a 3 day trip once and a cup with milk in it was still sitting on the sink (it was there when I left, so you can get the picture).

I love the photo of the bee, the camera takes gorgeous photos.

Oh and I love, love the Gilmore sweater.

I love the drop of nectar on one of the bee's left legs.
